𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜? 𝐀 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭!

14th of November is World Diabetes Day established to bring awareness to the illness that affect 537 million people globally.

In fact, diabetes is the leading cause of vision loss in people 18–64 years old! Perhaps the scariest part is that most of the time there are no obvious symptoms before sudden vision loss occurs.

Diabetics are at high risk for changes in eye, especially the retina (the inner segment of the eye) and it is therefore good news to know that an annual routine eye exam could prevent 95% of vision loss.

We highly encourages all diabetics to take control of their eye health and schedule yearly exams with their eye-care professional to control for changes in the retina. Here at our clinic we offer yearly exams, vitrectomy surgery for haemorrhage or retinal detachment, online consultations and OCT scans review.
